These boys were not trying to be as respectful as they should be. After all, they thought, we were just a year ahead of them in school. So, why give us the needed respect.
In any case, we were almost like no seniors at all because some others were still ahead of us. These first year students were one difficult bunch.
I guess that was the kind of attitude some of your mates tried introducing when they arrived but we both know where the lines were drawn between the seniors and the juniors.
Sincerely speaking, there was no way I could have predicted that your calm, respectful nature could have even made you anything so important in the few years after school as has become the case. I wouldn’t have known.
And thank God for social media and how I’ve followed your progress. I must say I have been humbly impressed and what has marvelled me the most is the zeal you carry with you.
I want to see you soon but let me say that the very day I realised my good friend Gideon Marcel Commey started talking about what a great example you are, then I knew God was definitely at work with you.
Haven been trained with discipline as our hallmark, I dare say you’ve truly lived the life.
Today, many look up to you and unsurprisingly, the world too comes to sit at your feet to take a bite into your reservoir of wisdom.
That is the mark of excellence. I don’t need to remind you that this is your call to this life but one thing I want you to keep doing is that you don’t forget your Creator. Don’t ever forget him.
Let me wish you well on this day and pray that blessings surround you now and going forward.
My prayer is that you touch this generation with the power of God through the ideas He has given you.
Cheers Alfred Godwin Adjabeng and a memorable Happy birthday to you.
I still want to tell your story one day. Ayekoo!
